The most expensive camera in the world is the one you left at home. Thankfully, in todays modern era, we have options in our pockets. This truth has been the quiet heartbeat of this blog for years— over a decade spent documenting the friction between the moments we plan for and the ones that actually happen. What began in 2012 as a collection of mobile captures has evolved into a disciplined study of light and necessity, spanning the gap between professional glass and the dependable utility of the mobile screen. This retrospective isn’t just a gallery of images; it is a visual celebration of my photography, proving that while hardware is transient and software like Affinity or Lightroom offers us a digital darkroom, the only tool that truly matters is the one that was there when the light broke just right.
Enjoy this look back at the photos I’ve captured using mobile devices, drones and Nikon glass since 2012.
